Mary Catherine Walker (Perkins) VIEW PROFILE

Mary Catherine Walker Perkins was born on December 8, 1952 to Asie Alexander Walker and Josephine Williams Walker in Jacksonville, Florida. She attended the local school of Duval County including Douglas Anderson and graduated from Samuel W. Wolfson Sr. High. She furthered her education at Edward Waters College receiving her B. A. Degree. She was also a sorority member of Sigma Gamma Rho.

Mary was married to Flozzell Perkins. She was employed with UF Health Family Medicine of Lila St. for 25 years. She was a member of Silas Missionary Baptist Church where she served as an usher and clerk.

Mary departed this life on Sunday, March 24, 2019. She was preceded in death by her father, Asie Alexander Walker; mother, Josephine Williams Walker; two brothers, Fletcher Waters, Jr. and William Curtis Walker.

Mary leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Flozzell Perkins; daughter, Sha’Rhonda Walker; step-children, Fureka Perkins, Darrick Stafford, Dietrick Stafford and Michael Holland; siblings, Pauline Scott, Maxine Jones and Asie Walker; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
