In Memory

David Deal

David Deal

David Deal passed away on December 29, 2020.  No one better to call your friend.  No one better to test the waters of our thoughts and no one better to fly upon the winds of change.  Thank you David and may the memory of you always be a blessing.

David and I became friends in 10th grade if memory serves. He was a hoot with his old flathead V-8 old Ford rust bucket in the Wolfson parking lot. It was the coolest thing ever. We went our separate ways as we all do. I found him decades later on Facebook and was happy to see his family life in photos. He seemed to love the water, his boat, and his wonderful life. God bless you David and your family.

I am so sorry to see that David passed away. It was a shock. David and I go way back to riding the school bus to DuPont. He lived down the street from me in Mandarin and even though we didn't hang out together, we grew up being friends. Most of the activities at both DuPont and Wolfson, we would be in the same crowd. Once his brother Curtis gave me a ride home from one of the Grace Chapel dances because the ride I had didn't show up to pick me snd a friend up. So when David offered me a ride, he said his brother was picking him up and he knew he wouldn't mind dropping me off at my house. Well, my parents weren't very happy that I "hitched" a ride and when I got hone, they met me at the gates of our property. David and his brother let me off not quite up to the gates and turned around and left. My mom was furious with me. David and Curtis thought it was funny, and we laughed about it off snd on for the next few years. I was just getting a ride, nothing else...but my mom was livid...as usual. David was a super nice guy. He came to most reunions and we would say hello each time. He will be missed by all!😥

I am so sorry to learn of David's passing. My sincerest sympathy to his family and friends. I was able to chat with him at one of our renunions and learned about his passion for water and aquatics.

I was so sorry to hear about the passing of our classmate David Deal.  I first met David in high school, and although we were not close friends then, we had become friendlier these past years on Facebook.  I will miss David.  May he Rest In Peace.

I'm sure gonna miss my old friend! He would drag up old outboard motors to my shop needing parts or hopefully get me to work on it !! He was smooth about it! He kept up with a lot of our classmates which kept me in the loop to how the rest were doing! He would bring his tools and go digging through all my junk motors for parts !! It was a treasure hunt for him !! He dropped off a small motor just before Christmas and was pretty sick! He wished we could have had our 50th reunion in 2020 just to see everyone one last time -- not realizing he would pass two weeks later !! For all that knew him he was a better friend that you might have realized!! He will deeply be missed ---- my friend !
