Willie Edward Clayton Jr. a resident of 4436 Crossbow Rd. died 08/18/97. He was a member of St. Mathews Bapt. Church Rev. George Price, pastor. He was employed by the City of Jax. in the construction dept. for the last 23 years. Survivors include: wife, Deborah Clayton; mother, Venetta Singleton; father, Willie E. Clayton; daughter, Cherie; 3 sons, Patricka, Darrell, Darnell; 3 grandchildren; 7 brothers, Gergory, Bobby, Danny, Eric, Gary Clayton, Andrew, Wayne Singleton. 3 sisters, Barbara, Beverly Clayton and Andrena Singleton; and many nieces and nephews and friends. Funeral Services will be held SATURDAY at 1:00 p.m. at Abyssinia Miss. Bapt. Church, Rev. Tom E. Diamond, pastor. The cortege will assemble at the residence at 12:15 p.m. His remains may be viewed FRIDAY at the Mortuary from 5:00-9:00 p.m. and in the church on Saturday from 9:30 until the hour of service.
