Eunice Alfredia Badger (Austin-Hankerson) VIEW PROFILE

On Sunday, October 22, 2017 God summoned an angel to earth to relieve Eunice Badger Austin (65), affectionately known as “Nunnie” of her earthly duties and bring her home to rest. Eunice was born on May 6, 1952 in Jacksonville, Florida to the proud parents of Lorenzo and Althea Badger who preceded her in death. She graduated from Samuel W. Wolfson High School, class of 1970 and attended Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. Eunice was employed with National and Pan Am Airlines where she retired after 23 plus years of faithful service as a Stewardess. Nunnie was preceded in death by her parents, Lorenzo and Althea Badger; siblings, Barbara Bryant, Carolyn Giles and Kerry Badger; and nephew, Henry Giles, III. Eunice leaves to mourn her passing, sisters, Elaine Clayton (Prentis), Glenda Jones (Bobie), Loretta Wright (King), Cynthia Simmons (Norris) and Cartonya Badger; nieces and nephews, Robin, William, Lechita (Lemar), Erica, Niconya, Tori, Brittany, Shereese, Corey, Taylor, Brandon, Alexis, Jordan, Brendasha, William, Jr. and Johan; step-mother, Thelma Badger; god mother, Mrs. Thelma Ray; and a host of cousins, other relatives, and many devoted and loving friends, including the ones from Miami and Palm Coast, Florida, we the family salute you. Our love for Nunnie is steadfast, our joy is full and hope is everlasting. We shall miss her and remember the dedication, commitment and love that she shared. She taught us how to fight, wait, and be victorious. Now we cherish the blessings of our God for allowing our lives to be touched by the blessings she’s been to us all. Ms. Badger-Austin will be laid to rest in the Edgewood Cemetery. Sarah L. Carter's Funeral Home Southside is serving the family.
